Consultants to take Centre stage at Next InfoComm UK Roundtables

In response to member requests, InfoComm International is pleased to announce two audiovisual and technology consultant roundtable events to be held in the UK this month

Consultants in the audiovisual and communications industry act as the important ‘glue’ between various stakeholders and parties such as designers, architects, end users, integrators, technology managers, often many years before a technology project is installed.

Consultants to take Centre stage at Next InfoComm UK Roundtables

InfoComm’s Roundtables at the Hilton Cardiff (Thursday, 19 April) and the prestigious Manton Studio, Tate Britain, London (Thursday, 26 April) will feature panel discussions designed to give consultants a platform from which to convey how end-customer needs of AV systems are evolving in the face of business and technological changes.

Some of the UK’s leading consultancy firms will be taking part. Representatives from INTENECT, Lyall Solutions Ltd, Mark Johnson Consultants Ltd and Greg Jeffreys, President of InfoComm International and Chairman of Paradigm AV Ltd will be on the panel in Cardiff, with Lyall Solutions Ltd and Mark Johnson Consultants Ltd also appearing in London, where they will be joined by Arup, Big Picture Consultants, Charcoalblue Theatre Consultants, Coleman Bennett International Plc and Visual Acuity Ltd.

At each venue, the panel discussions will be followed by short Q&A sessions, after which the consultants will join the audience tables in answering a set of questions in the established InfoComm Roundtable style. Both programmes will conclude with a drinks reception, allowing further discussion and networking in a less formal setting.

“We’ve been holding Regional Roundtables for over three years, covering various topics from building automation to sustainable AV,” says Chris Lavelle, Regional Manager UK and Ireland, InfoComm International. “During these discussions, a regular request from participants has emerged to have more input from the consultant community.

“So, although we have had consultants taking part in our Roundtables in the past, we felt it was time to allow this important community to take centre-stage and really give us some insight into how their customers view AV systems now and in the future.

“At both Cardiff and London, we will be showcasing the views of some of the most influential figures in the UK audiovisual industry and we believe that both will be great events with unique content and unique networking opportunities.”
